The Purpose of the Camelsdale Reunited Website
We have put together this section of the school website as part of Camelsdale School's Centenary celebrations.
We intend for it to be used in three ways: Firstly, to gather the names and contact details
of as many ex-pupils and staff as possible, so that we can invite them to the Centenary events
that have been organised through the year. Secondly, the School would like to provide the
facility to enable ex-pupils to contact each other via e-mail; details on how this will
work and how we will protect member's privacy are given in brief here and can be found in
full on the Terms and Conditions page. Thirdly, we are hoping to collect
reminiscences and
photographs which can be added to this site and hopefully become a permanent part of the School
Website.
We would ask you to register only if you are 18 years old or over and an ex-pupil or member of
staff of Camelsdale School.
Once you have registered your details and become a "member" you will be able to:
- Browse the names of members already registered.
- Ask Camelsdale Reunited to forward your e-mail details to other members you would like to
contact. It will be up to those members to make contact with you if they so wish.
- Read and add reminiscences to the Memory board.
- Send in photographs to be added to the Memory board.
Once you have registered your details on the site, this "Registration Information" can be changed
if necessary by contacting us
at Admin@CamelsdaleReunited.org.uk or using our
Contact Page.
You may have your details removed at any time, again by contacting us at e-mail address.
We will not give your personal data to any third party, with the exception of your e-mail address
which we will send to another registered "member" at your request. We will use the information to
contact you about Centenary events unless you have asked us not to.
We have security measures in place to protect our Camelsdale Reunited database and access to this
database is restricted internally. We would however, ask that you ensure that no unauthorised
person can access the "members" area of the site from your own computer.
Photographs
Any Photographs which are sent will be reviewed to make sure that they are suitable for use on
the website.
Photos of children taken after 1990 will not appear on the site as these people may still be
under 18 years of age.
If large numbers of photos are sent in we may not be able to add them all to the site.
If you do not wish your photos to appear on the website please let us know. We would still
like to receive them and can use them in the exhibition that is being set up in School and
for the open week-end in June.
